TuesdayBreezy sailingCowes Classics Week got off to a cracking start today with almost perfect sailing conditions. Those that came back to the Club House for MDL Marinas Tea and Cake were understanding and co-operative as they were grouped onto tables of 6 and there was little waiting time.

Most of you will have seen the forecast for Tuesday. Whichever version we look at suggests wind speeds of up to 40 knots.
Whilst we had hoped to delay the final decision until 08:30 on Tuesday morning, wider consultation amongst competitors and race committee alike indicated preference for certainty at an earlier time. We therefore decided to take the pragmatic decision to CANCEL all racing for tomorrow, Tuesday, and look forward to the rest of the week.

Tuesday is also Classics Day with Motor Gun Boat 81 together with about 40 classic cars committed to arrive in Cowes from 10:00. Please come and support them, talk to the owners and enjoy the display.

Coffee will be served from about 11.00, light lunches including scampi will be available and MDL Marinas Tea and Cake will be available as normal from 15.00.

Please observe the rule of 6 seated and masks when moving around.
