Throughout the winter we have been planning an even more exciting format for Cowes Classics Week for 2020.
New for this year, Thursday 30th July is Cowes Classics Day and will include a display of over 50 classic cars on the Parade together with exhibits from the Cowes Classic Boat Museum and classic power boats on the London Landing and RYS Yacht Haven. The evening entertainment features an even bigger reception at the RYS Pavilion with dinner options at the RLYC, Northwood House and the Sir Max Aitken Museum at the Prospect.
We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Henri-Lloyd who will be the Official Regatta Clothing Partner to Cowes Classics Week. We are working closely with Henri-Lloyd and our Branding Partner, Crew Kit to create an Official Race Collection and more information on the Collection will be available soon.
Alas, we are now navigating new challenges as we all work together to defeat the CoVID 19 virus. The well-being of our staff, volunteers and competitors is paramount, but at the time of writing we are hopeful that we will be able to run the regatta as planned from 25th to 31st July 2020.
The Notice of Race and most other information is now available on the website www.cowesclassicsweek.org and entries are open. We have extended the Early Bird Discount date to 15th June.
In the event that we have to cancel the event, all entry fees and social event costs will be refunded in FULL. It is possible that courses and events will have to be reconsidered so it would help us understand the requirements if entries were made as soon as possible so that we can calculate likely demand.
For the avoidance of doubt we will not postpone the event. If we are unable to continue on 25th July the next regatta will be 2021.
We hope to welcome you to Glorious Cowes for what may well be the first regatta of 2020. Please indicate your support by entering now.
In the meantime keep well and stay safe.
